JAX INC is a manufacturer and international distributor of a wide variety of lubricants with a specialty in food grade products. JAX has been in business since 1955. We take pride in producing quality products and our ability to quickly respond to our customer’s individual needs.

We are currently seeking a part time Accounts Payable Specialist to work in person at our offices in Menomonee Falls up to 24 hours per week. Wonderful opportunity with some flexibility with scheduled days and hours.

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, recording entries
• Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal ID numbers, scheduling, and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
• Protects organization’s value by keeping confidential information
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Understand expense accounts and cost centers
• Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities:

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
• Previous accounts payable experience preferred
