Job Title: Production Supervisor – Precast Concrete Manufacturing

About the Role:
A well-established and growing precast concrete manufacturer is seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor with a strong background in precast concrete manufacturing . This is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing daily production operations, maintaining quality and safety standards, and driving productivity within the plant.
Precast concrete experience is required. Candidates without direct precast manufacturing experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Precast Production: Lead and supervise all phases of precast manufacturing—including form setup, casting, curing, stripping, and finishing—to ensure product quality and production goals are met.
Lead and Motivate Teams: Supervise general laborers, carpenters, finishers, and other production staff. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
Daily Planning and Scheduling: Execute production plans and schedules in coordination with the Production Manager to ensure on-time delivery and workflow efficiency.
Enforce Safety and Quality Standards: Maintain a zero-incident environment by ensuring strict adherence to OSHA guidelines and internal safety protocols.
Monitor Equipment and Inventory: Ensure tools, forms, and machinery are maintained. Monitor materials like cement, aggregates, rebar, and embeds for availability and proper use.
Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve production processes using lean manufacturing or other best practices.
Reporting and Communication: Track daily production metrics, downtime, material usage, and staff performance. Report progress to upper management regularly.
Workforce Management: Make daily labor assignments, adjust as needed, and ensure coverage for all production needs.
Training and Onboarding: Train new hires on precast processes, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Required: Minimum 3–5 years of direct experience in precast concrete production
Leadership Experience: Prior experience as a supervisor, foreman, or team lead in a precast or heavy manufacturing environment
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of precast techniques, concrete mixes, formwork, curing methods, embedded items, and finishing standards
Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot production challenges, resolve conflicts, and make real-time decisions on the floor
Safety-Focused: Proven ability to lead a team in a safety-sensitive environment and ensure regulatory compliance
Strong Communication: Capable of giving clear directions, maintaining team accountability, and communicating across departments
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and production tracking tools
Flexibility: Willing to work extended hours, weekends, and shifts as needed based on production demand
Language: English required; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
