Nielsen Mechanical is a trusted HVAC contractor serving the Denver and Colorado Springs markets. Known for our consistent growth and reputation for quality, we are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager/Estimator to join our Denver team. This role is key to driving successful projects, ensuring profitability, and building lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial and industrial HVAC projects ($25K – $2M+).
• Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, including kickoff, purchasing, submittals, scheduling, and customer communication.
• Oversee daily project execution to ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, on budget, and to high-quality standards.
• Build and foster relationships with owners, GCs, and engineers to secure repeat work.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and field productivity; provide regular progress updates to leadership.
• Overview of HVAC field crews and coordination of subcontractors.
• Ensure adherence to company safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience (installation, service, or project management).
• 2+ years of estimating and/or project management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, sheet metal, and mechanical construction practices.
• Field foreman/lead installer experience with interest in moving into PM/estimating considered.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Procore, Bluebeam, or similar software a plus.

Education

• Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required.
• Equivalent HVAC field experience strongly considered.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $85,000 – $120,000 (based on experience).
