Job Description
Clausen Miller P.C., a national law firm is seeking a qualified Legal Assistant to join our Texas team. Experienced candidates will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, be familiar with Texas legal procedures, protocols and court system. Stellar candidates can work independently, be able to monitor and meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and work well with others. Must be knowledgeable with formatting legal documents.
Duties include, perform conflicts checks, maintain/organize files in document management program, prepare correspondence and pleadings, prepare attorney expense reports, calendar litigation response deadlines and civil remedy response deadlines, draft pleadings and legal documents, and e-file in State Court and Federal Court. Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook are a must. This position is a hybrid remote position (2 days in office and 3 days working remotely from home) and requires that you reside in the Houston, Texas area .
