Job Description

We're looking for a friendly, organized, and tech-savvy Library Circulation Assistant to support daily library operations and help make the library a welcoming space for our community. If you're passionate about literacy, community engagement, and enjoy helping others, this could be the perfect fit!

Schedule: Hours vary, will be anytime between 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday - Friday, and 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturday
Pay: $11/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform circulation desk tasks, including opening/closing procedures and assisting patrons.
• Shelve returned items and maintain organized, clean library shelves and spaces.
• Help patrons locate materials and use the catalog, computers, and other equipment.
• Provide basic computer troubleshooting and technical support to library users.
• Assist with cataloging and maintaining magazines and other materials; report purchasing needs.
• Support library programs and events by preparing materials, helping with activities, and creating displays.
• Promote library services by creating flyers, calendars, and visiting local organizations to distribute materials.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 1 year of related experience required (experience may be substituted with higher education)
