Salary: $90,000.00 USD Annually - $120,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client has an immediate need for a Project Architect. If you have Judicial or Corrections Architectural architect experience, and would excel working from home, this is the job for you!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities have been determined to be essential to the successful
performance of this position.
Specific tasks will be assigned by the Principal in Charge or the Project Manager and may include design, coordination, detailing, production, review, and any other task necessary to support the design team.
Tasks may include:
- Lead a multidiscipline team and perform design creative layouts and detailing on architectural
- projects
- Independently coordinate work of a multidiscipline team through multiple phases of a design project
- Establish owner/client and internal meetings, and participate in reviews with various governing
- agencies for code compliance
- Initiating and creating designs and plans of projects with responsibility for preparation of
- presentation and design drawings.
- Identifying client’s needs and developing feasibility reports and design proposals.
- Development of concept ideas keeping in mind client’s needs, building program, and environmental impact.
- Coordinate workload of team members through multiple phases to complete documents on schedule
- Review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
- Perform QA/QC and technical reviews
- Write and edit architectural specifications
- Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders
- Incorporate agreed-upon changes into project documents
- Provide construction contract administration as needed
- Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations.
- Make onsite visits to check on project status and report findings.
- Perform other duties, tasks, and initiatives contributing to the success of the firm as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field
- 5-10 or more years of Judicial / Corrections facility architecture project design / management
- experience
- Registered Architect
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
- Must have experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and
- specifications
- Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our collaborative and equitable

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Architecture
• Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3-D Studio Max, but not required.
• Rhino and Grasshopper experience
• Local candidates preferred
