Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of relevant experience and active ARRT and state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital's Interventional Radiology unit
• Level II trauma center with adult patient population
• Procedures include g-tube placement, central line insertion, chemotherapy, cardiac stent placement, and x-ray imaging
• Experience with PACS, Xper, Phillips, and portable x-ray equipment required
• Community hospital and outpatient cases included, as well as ER and trauma cases
• Allscripts EMR required; Epic experience preferred
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:15 AM to 5:45 PM
• Weekend and holiday work required
• On-call required approximately 33% of the month, including buddy call during orientation and every other weekend after initial week
• May be asked to float within scope to sister facilities as needed
• Responsibilities include assisting with specialized IR procedures such as cardiac stents and central lines
• Team structure provides buddy call support during orientation and collaborative call coverage
• Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
• RTO must be finalized prior to offer; changes not permitted after offer is made
• Scrubs must be any solid color with matching top and bottoms, no logos or prints
• Free parking available with decal provided at orientation
• Employees must wait 1 year after leaving a contracted position before reapplying
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Flu vaccine required unless exemption applies

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology experience
• Current State License required; Florida or compact license must be active at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ARRT certification required; advanced ARRT preferred
• Fluoroscopy permit preferred
• Experience with PACS, Xper, Phillips, and portable x-ray systems required
• Cardiac stent placement, g-tube, central line, and chemo procedure experience required
• Experience in community hospital, outpatient, ER, and Level I trauma environments required
• Allscripts EMR experience required; Epic preferred
• Flu vaccination required, with medical/religious exemptions only
• License required if applicable
